Hi all,
Can someone tell me the best way to make the UM175 auto-dial under Windows XP?
I've tried telling the DUN this is the default connection and to always dial it but it always prompts asking if it OK to connect.

Any help is appreciated.

Start> Control Panel> Internet Options> Connections> Always dial my default connection

Jim,

Thanks for the response, but, as I mentioned in my original post, I've already told it to always dial my default connection.
However, just to be sure, I followed your steps and it still prompts me to connect.

Any other ideas?

ahh, you want to connect whenever a program requires a internet connection?

Try this:

Open Settings/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services .

Scroll down to Remote Access Auto Connection Manager and right click on it. Open Properties.

Change Start-up Type from manual to automatic and press Apply. Then press Start. Then press OK.

See if that does what you are looking for.

Jim,

It turns out I had to enable both the Verizon DUN and the VZAccess Manager to auto-dial in order to get it to work.

Thanks,
-Kev
