And it does linux.

Apparently all the hardware is recognized in Ubuntu Jaunty "out of the box" (I'm using my USB-key portable big system and it had bluetooth, wireless, 3d graphics support, sound, etc.), except for the EVDO modem.

I think that is fixed by:

sudo modprobe usbserial vendor=0x3f0 product=0x1f1d


which creates /dev/ttyUSB0 which is a modem interface.

It accepts commands, but I don't know if anything special is needed to turn it on. ATD#777 returns NO CARRIER, but the card isn't activated.

(The reason I'm skeptical is that there is an HP wireless on/off application, so something might need to be "on" for the RF section to be powered).
