Hi, I've been having a big problem with my usb727 lately. It worked fine until about a month ago when my connection started to drop randomly even though it said i had 3-4 bars. This happens at least once every 30 minutes now. Another problem that started happening was that my connection would switch to "local access only" for a couple minutes than switch back.

I've tried everything from reinstalling it about 5 times, trying all the different usb ports, etc., nothing seems to work. I've also tried switching it back and forth from HDR only to automatic.

After these 2 things happen I try exiting out of VZaccess manager to reopen it but it ALWAYS gets "Program is not responding." Once this happens it won't let me open it again. It's the only program it does it with.

Could I just need a new modem?

Edit: By the way, before this problem started to happen, I could move my laptop around and the RSSI would get better or worse, but now it doesn't matter where I move my laptop the RSSI is always the same.

I feel your pain...I am right there with you...would love some feed back, also...are you using verizon? thats what I have.

Yes I'm using verizon. It's getting frustrating, people on verizon's end seem to have no clue what to do.

Well when I called verizon I was told I am not in there coverage area...ummm I was when I got it! I asked..to make sure...and it went from working fantastic to slow...now I get the disconnection, which I NEVER had before...
Hope you get some answers...it is very frustrating, I know!
