So my girlfriend is living with her cousins who have no internet and she is a college student working part time paying rent, insurance, etc. You know, on her own practically. She needs internet for school thus spends alot of time there (she commutes) and sometimes needs internet at home to get other things done. Using a phone as a modem came to mind since right now she has everything data plan with sprint. I noticed it says tethering is not included. False advertising since thats still a data function but whatever. Is there a way she can still go online with her PC using her phone as the modem and avoid the tethering fee? Her phone is a samsung m300 but she plans on getting a new one soon (she wants the Instinct). Would she have to use the DUN setup at 14.4k to go online "free?" Whats the fastest her phone can go (m300 uses the 1x stuff so i know its not DSL fast but faster than 14.4k right? Instinct is Rev.A capable right?) Im new to this whole tethering thing so i apologize if what im saying is a little incoherant. Thanks for the help.

A phone with the Windows Mobile OS would work well - and then:
