does anybody use evdo with xbox live? i do. from speedtest.net im getting an anverage down of 1.1 mbps up of .3 mbps, and a ping of 150(kinda high) i have used the cradelpoint page to open up the ports for an open NAT. my speed should be fine for xbox live with no lag. i lag almost everytime and it makes gaming almost not worth it anymore. i was wondering if there are little tweaks and adjustments to make things a little faster and smoother. thanks any help is appreciated:D

I've tried playing with AT&T and it sucks, very laggy it's just really not possible. The ping is what kills you not the speed. I've been looking into dual channel ISDN line to play on.

Speed although it does have some impact on gaming is not as import as latency (ping times) with that being said I am on Verizon with a PC5750 and a linksys wrt54g3g and use XBOX Live on a regular basis for gaming. There are some nights when lag is bad and there are other times when its perfect.

rwithers, what types of games are you playing? COD? I'm still looking into my options I've heard that Sprint/Verizon are better options.

I play COD (4 and WAW), Gears of War (1 and 2), Madden, Tiger Woods, Left 4 Dead....you get the point.

My ping times to google, yahoo, and 4.2.2.1 are usually around 90-110ms lately.

Those ping times really aren't that bad. How far are you away from your local tower?
