I'm on the Sprint Network, and eligible for an upgrade from the Ovation U720 to the U760... I'm also retired and using the 720 with a laptop inside an RV as I tour the country...

The 720 isn't broken! It works very, very well. And I'm sorta old school, of the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' bent! So, the question, is the U760 significently better enough, sensitivity, speed, etc., etc., than the U720 to warrant the upgrade?

Thanks!

The U760's main advantage over the U720 is that its smaller and shinier. We have no found any measurable difference in performance. The U760 is nice because the Sprint software is stored on the device itself, so installation on each new computer wouldn't require the CD or software download.

The biggest thing to keep in mind is that if you upgrade through Sprint is will extend your contract and would impose a 5GB limit on monthly usage. Currently my bet is that you have been grandfathered into the unlimited plan, we recommend maintaining that if possible.

I use the U720 myself still and could get a new device at any time but I've never found a reason to. If you ever have problems with the U720 then maybe consider upgrading or purchasing a new device.
