Hi,
Been checking out alot off topics but I'm still off.
I had RR. I live in Houston,Tx. I always have 3 or 4 bars,
I connect thru my Palm Treo 755p to my laptop. and I get terrible speed, about 15 kb down from a respectable site.
What do I need, I'm lost.....How can I get better speed on my laptop.
I use it thru my Mobile because I'm also a Truck driver, so I take my laptop with me everywhere.
But these speeds are killing me, Do I need a new PDA/Smartphone???
WOW, I just checked and my PDA is only capable of Evdo 0, So I need a Evdo RE A?????
Which PDA?SMARTPHONE Do you recommend?? |

Hi there,
A couple questions:
1) Are you in a 3G area or are you only able to connect to National Access?
2) Are you ALWAYS getting these slow speeds or only in some areas? Even though your phone is only Rev-0, it's still possible to get better speeds than what you're getting.
3) What carrier are you using? Sprint? |

Hi.
Well Im using verizon, and Im getting National Acess- Extended Network.
I'm right in a well populated part of the city, i'd say around downtonw.
But it sure is slow, I havent really tried it around town, just basicly at my house right know, but I can't get any better speeds.
So I'm using verison, treo 755p, usb cable. updated firewires, lateset vz manager. Vista.
any help would be great, what should I get ?
I also notice that right know it says 1x, and others it says EV.
Thanks in advance. |
