I bought an external antenna for my PX5000 and adapter cable. They cannot work. The problem is the head of the antenna plug is so big it interferes with the card ejection button on my laptop as well as the WRT54G3GV2. You can't plug the card in enough with the antenna cable plugged in to get a signal on the Linksys and on the laptop you can't get the card out because the ejection button hits the antenna cable when trying to get the card out of the laptop. On the laptop you can at least power down and then remove the antenna cable to get the card out but on the Linksys it will not go in far enough for the card to even get power.

The Linksys should have the card slot and the ejection button further apart. Not very good design.

Yes this is an issue that has been brought up in the past, sadly the only solution would be to purchase a KR2 Kyocera if you are going to keep the PX500.
