Kr2 and Franklin U300

Any word on whether this new Franklin U300 is going to function with the KR2? Firmware update?

Anyone have one yet? If so, tried it on a KR2?

I ask because Sprint 4G is scheduled to roll out in Seattle in the next 6 mos. My existing modem (595U) is dying a slow death an need to be replaced. I have it plugged into my KR2 and have been very happy so far with the exception of the bursting batteries.

Currently the KR2 supports 2 other Franklin modems. Thinking out loud, wondering if the existing drivers could function with the new modem.

According to this thread - http://www.evdoforums.com/thread11832.html it doesn't look like there is any firmware updates coming, at all. So, I wouldn't hold my breath.
