Does anyone know if Sprint has certified the Gobi universal 3G (EVDO/HSPA) card? Most manufacturers are going with this solution instead of carrier-specific embedded cards. AT&T and Verizon both appear to have certified it. Most OEMs expected Sprint to certify late 2008, but I can't find anything to confirm that.

I imagine it would only be a matter of time :
The UNDP-1 (Universal Notebook Data Platform) is a wireless card that enables data connectivity for notebook computers. It uses the PCI Express Mini Card format and supports WWAN connectivity for the CDMA2000 1x, 1x EV-DO, W-CDMA (HSDPA and HSUPA), and GSM/EDGE protocols, all in a single package. It also supports GPS position location (although this feature was not enabled in the unit tested). The UNDP-1 is a single-module solution for world travelers needing to maintain wireless connectivity while hopping between continents, carriers, and their geography-dependant bands and protocols. |

| When I download and install the CSA "Carrier Specific Application" for my Toughbook with Gobi, it gives you the option of connecting to Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T. So I would imagine Sprint is there now. I use Verizon though. |
