Thats not bad, 1 meg, you must be a few miles away from the tower.
Have you done the speed tweak yet?
I am one mile away and just have the USB modem plugged into the back of my desktop computer

This proves my point. AMPS=BAd news. Most of the time they just raise the noise floor. I would take a -90rssi with -3ec/io over a -50rssi -10 e/io anyday. Not to mention From the Mobile to the Cell is CDMA, so the site controls your power output with CLGC.

Get a good antenna, and don't go cheap with coax. More times then not, you will loose more db in cheap coax, then gain in a amp. Also, get good connectors, so you are loosing .1db instead of .5db per connector.

Also note, it is not legal to re-transmit a licensed signal. If you want to, the license holder has to file a 3rd party agreement to the FCC.

I cannot use my system at all without my amplifier. I am 8.5 miles from the tower. With the Amp, my signal is -85, without it it is -110.

What point? My wilson amp is the only reason I get a usable signal at all.. I am 8.5 miles from my tower and with the amp I get -88 and my latency is about 60-90ms.

Without the amp my RSSI is -110 and I can barely hook up at all and when I do my latency is 1100+ ms.

I have tried about every antenna out there and without my amp I am dead in the water.
