Sprint SmartView for Windows - how do I hide the menubar?

I am a newbie, so forgive me if this was covered somewhere. I couldn't find this topic. I am connected to Sprint Smartview Compass 597 on my laptop and i want to be able to hide the menubar at the bottom of my screen. in the manual for mac users, there is an option under Settings/Client, but not in the Windows version. Anyone know how to hide this completely while still being connected?

Welcome Ryan. Do you not have a minimize icon in the upper right?

I do have the minimize icon, but it still sits at the bottom of my screen. I want it to not even showup.

thanks for the suggestion...but i don't want to go the route of downloading an application but rather doing it within the options available with the broadband card (if possible).
