I've activated multiple times and I'm in a BroadbandAccess area (I can download from mozilla.org at 110Kbps).
I'm in Bullhead City, Arizona / Laughlin, Nevada area. I am choosing "Activate" from the Verizon VZAccess Manager... it says it completes OK... but my PRL never shows updated. I've removed/re-inserted the card and even rebooted Windows XP.
PRL: 50383, ERI: 50020
One problem I'm having is that the Verizon access maps show Lake Havasu City as having 1X RTT but I get no service at all there on the card... so I decided to drive to Launghlin where they have Broadbandaccess to update my PRL... but no go.
My card was purchased in Florida and has a Florida phone number associated with it. had it for about 3 months, i'm guessing this is my original PRL...
Any hints or help appreciated.

I'm in Laughlin right now - had my card for several weeks and have traveled from NW Montana down to here. I was near Mountain Home ID and the cell phone was showing a couple of bars but the card - even with the Kyocera antenna - showed no signal. I had to move the antenna around and reset signal - and finally I would get one bar - but when it connected it would go up and stay connected just fine.
Mine is a FL card also - is PRL Version is 50427 - I don't even know what that is?
So far so good - I have to reboot once in a while or take the card out and reinsert - I never shut my computer off - just put it to sleep when I'm not using it.
Good Luck! |

Ok, after trying 5 times last night... I tried this morning (in Laughlin in front of Colorado Belle casino) and it worked! The time it worked it was much quicker than the times it failed... so I wonder if Verizon had a "server down" that provides the PRL.
I now have 50427, hopefully this gives me 1X in Lake Havasu City, Arizona where I get no signal at all. The verizon maps show it has 1X (someone want to look at maps and confirm this for me?). |

We were just across the street at the Ramada - left this morning and are now in Parker AZ - National Access here - a real letdown from Broadband!
Glad you got it going! I think when mine updated it did it automatically - before I even logged on. |
