My modem this morning told me to upgrade my software VZAccess - I did. It also said there was a firmware update but every time I tried to update it gave a quick message about admin access etc and would not update. Can someone help me get the update and explain installation the easiest way please?

Thanks!

glenv,
Thank your lucky stars! I did the same thing that you did with both these updates. Unfortunaly my firmware update did proceed and I fear trashed my USB 720. NOW, it identifies itself as a Novatel MERLIN modem instead of the former identification of Novatel OVATION Modem.
I think the Smith Micro update misidentified my USB 720 and loaded (or partially loaded) the wrong firmware on my moden.

I think Verizon or Smith Micro owes me another USB 720!
