Hello fellas. Well it has been a good run. Arrived home and in my mail is a letter from Dan H saying that they warned me about the 5gb cap back in Sep and I have gone over every month so they are terminating me on May 5, 2009. Just happens to be the day my 2 year unlimited agreement ends.
They are being nice saying I can quit now and they won't charge me an ETF.
Lovely eh?
Ok, ok..... I have been dling around 25-30 gigs a month ignoring the cap altogether. There Sally, hows that for canary in the coal mine. "tweet, aaakkk".
Dudes don't bother asking what I dl. None of your business.
This is just FYI. Your mileage may vary. And yes my bills all say unlimited.
See ya.
Max

| Well, there you have it. They are starting to enforce the cap. Although I find it weird that they are waiting until your contract is up. I guess they really don't care about losing customers. |

Well, there it is. Thanks for the info. Unbelievable they are going to chase customers away when they are losing money.
Just checked my usage. My battery charger on my laptop died a week ago. I was at just under 2 gigs. Finally made it home to pick up new charger. Now, I'm just under 3. Interesting. I haven't used the card in 6 days. Same old Sprint. |

I hate to see that happen to you ,Max.
I'm still going to keep surfing like normal.I've went over every month since I received the 5g limit change, but I've never heard a word from them, and honestly if I HAD to stay under 5 gig I would just go with VZW since they built a new tower that is 2 miles closer to my home, and has a really good line of sight from my back yard.
Now having said that,I have had one heavy month where I think I hit somewhere between 17-20 gigs, but most of my overages are in the 7-12 range, and most of my downloading is done in the AM when I have the tower pretty much by myself (I can tell because my speeds max out on a tower with 1 T1 line).
I'm hoping to get DSL pretty soon. They've already got within 4-5 miles of my house, and the guys doing the work on them said it was coming my way. |

Oh Max.... I've missed ya!!!!
I just posted in another thread here...(Does your plan still show "unlimited") ... I'm so fuming mad tonight!
This is just the pits. I'm fighting to get my old plan back at this moment... I'm on the phone on hold now with a total bimbo who is telling me that there were never any unlimited accounts!
How stupid does a person need to be to get a job at Sprint?!?!??!
Is that other reseller still a viable option? I may wind up going there before the night is out. |

Got my account changed back until March 2010.
Then I'll be joining you, Max.

I'll be joining you guys in telling Sprint that they are FIRED!
Gone to a rural WISP called Stelera.
3.5g, fast as a rocket and low latency. |

Hi Sally. Still stress'in I see. Well I moved into town a couple of weeks ago and now have Charter cable Hi Speed 10mbps. And a 100 Gig cap. Oh well I guess I'll have to live with it.
Thanks to all who continue to post and help people here. Very good community. I guess this is my last transmission so will miss ya all and good luck.
Peace out.
max
p.s. Short note to fernizzle. If you are hiding from Sprint in Biden's bunker then you better get out. Joe gave you up last week. |

It is, though a lot of the links for it are old and very out of date. I updated the "My Data Diet" thread with new info.... http://www.evdoforums.com/thread10206.html |

It's not that weird. He had an unlimited plan, and they decided that his usage was high enough such that they did not want to renew it. They let him finish out his current plan. If he wants to renew, he'll have to sign up with a plan that allows them to charge overages. |
