Does anyone know if the Sierra 598U is compatible with the Kyocera KR2 router? Kyocera say's they don't support it but alot of web sites are saying that it is compatible. Just looking for clearification before i order it.

Thanks!

We have confirmed that the 598U does NOT work with the KR2.

The Cradlepoint MBR1000 does support the 598U and is nearly the same router as the KR2.

Cradlepoint manufactures both routers and the only physical difference (other than color) is that the KR2 has a PCMCIA slot. Cradlepoint is much quicker to update to newer versions of the firmware, for example the 598U compatibility. So unless you need the PCMCIA slot for the older style cards get the MBR1000.

If you must get the KR2, the Sprint Compass 597 is supported.
