I have noticed over the past 3-4 months that I have been getting a Rev-A signal aprox 25% percent of the time with download speeds in the 1000-1300 range and upload in the 350-500 range. The Rev-A signal is new for our area since about this same time.

The other 75% of the time, I get a Rev-0 signal with download speeds of 150-400 and upload of 75-105.

I test my connection multiple times daily, and it does not seem to matter what time of the day it is, I never know what kind of signal I will be picking up.

I use a Yagi antenna pointed at the closest tower (with an amp) and my RSSI signal is usually in the -70 to -85 range.

I was under the assumption that a tower only put out one type of signal - which is either not the case, or it is something on my end. Could someone please explain this to me?

Also, I have a non-directional antenna that I have tested with pretty much the same results. Thanks

that is really weird... they could be testing rev a in your area, and that's why you get the intermittent signal.

Could be you were hitting alltel and they are changing equipment as the Verizon/alltel thing is happening and you could be getting bumped to sprint as there roaming agreement is still in effect...
