Need PCMCIA card-FAIL:Dell 600m,Sprint PC5740,WinXPhomeSP2

Everytime I put the card in the laptop just freezes. Either hot or from cold boot.

Hopefully someone will know of a Sprint PCMCIA card that works with the Dell 600m... I have only had this one a week so I can likely return it but don't want a USB one because my dad breaks them off and seems to have better luck with the PCcards lasting than the USB type...

Also hope this saves someone else the trouble of trying to get a Dell 600m to work with a Sprint PC-5740. If someone has one working I would like to know what config and how as I can't get them to work.

Have fully updated windows update as of today. taken off all firewalls and anti-virus and done just about everying I can think of including:
flashign the BIOS (now a17);
removing all USB and PCMCIA devices and letting them reinstall after the BIOS update.
Tried all availabe versions of thePC5740 Connection manager & the Spring Smartview.
