|
|
| I have received conflicting information from Sprint as to whether a business can receive a corporate discount on the 5GB mobile broadband plan. The website says no discounts but a rep said yes discounts. Does anyone know if and after how many committed lines this would apply? Both VZ and AT&T look like they do allow discounts which is a plus in their favor. |

No.
Discounts on data ONLY applies to phone plans (like Verizon's VCast).
If you're company gets 10% off data and Verizon is $15 a month, then your data plan, on your phone, would be $13.50.
Discounts DO NOT apply to data plans (aka broadband cards) |

mixed answers because it can be yes and no.
there are some existing sprint corporate accounts where no discounts will apply to data service.
if you are setting up NEW account, its possible we can get you corporate discount, but only with multiple lines per account.
you may want to email sales@ 3gstore.com to see what we can do for you. reference this forum post while you are at it. |

I work in government, so it's a little different. But our discounts apply across the board for Sprint. I was unaware of a different policy for businesses.

| I went through this 2 years ago at a Sprint corporate store. The salesperson said I would get a 20+ percent discount (I forgot the exact number) and then called Sprint and submitted the information for me. Needless to say, I didn't get the discount so I called Sprint and they said there was no discount. I told them what the saleperson said, gave them the ticket number, etc, and also gave them a piece of my mind for not having their stories straight. They ended up giving me 15% off. This lasted until a few weeks ago when I switched modems and the discount magically disappeared. But I have since switched to Cricket so I never tried to get the discount restored. |

i work for a large Fortune 100 company and they
have a discount plan w/Sprint(also w/VZ & ATT).
I signed up for Spring mobile broadband two or
three years ago and got the discount.
Don't know about 5G stuff, as that didn't apply
when I signed up, and as far as I know, doesn't
apply to me.
Could be you need to go through your company
first to find a contact w/Sprint or dedicated web
page, vs. contacting Spring first. That's how
my company's plan works. |

I work for a large company also. I also heard conflicting stories for a long time. it took me over a year of numerous phone calls before I finally received a discount. But I finally got t the right people. I get a 25% discount. My current bill is $47.94 including all taxes & surcharges. I get a $15.00 month discount off the regular $59.99 data plan. I have only a data plan with sprint because my cell phone plan is with Verizon. Verizon gives me 22% off my cell phone base plan.
The best part is I have gone over the 5GB limit every month for the past several months. I consistently use between 6-8GB a month. I have not heard one thing from Sprint about going over! I would really be up a creek if I had to live within the 5GB as EVDO is my only internet option other than satellite which does not work for me. I live out in the boonies and work from home full time. Before I got the corporate discount, I had to activate broadband on my cellphone and use it as a modem whenever I would get close to the 5GB limit, so I was paying double. |
