Anyone having problems with the verizon pc5750 pc card with the Windows 7 Beta?
When I install it tells me the device driver software cannot be installed. I check the Device Manager and it shows that "Pantech USB Modem" is not installed correctly because there is no driver found.

I am having the same issue and haven't seen any update. New install of 32-bit Windows 7 beta on an IBM T43 with the VzW PC5750 card. I downloaded 6.10.10_2246b from vzam.net, no luck. I know the card and the computer are good - both used to work when they ran XP SP3.

I was able to get this to work -

1)Uninstall existing VZAM and PANTECH USB

2) Install VZAM ver6.7.1 (2058a) - DONT INSERT CARD YET

3) Go online via ethernet or WIFI to establish internet connection. Ensure you can get online.

4) Run VZAM, insert card when prompted.

5) It will detect as PANTECH. It will ask to go to windows update to look for a driver.Once it hits windows update it will find and install several PCMCIA and related drivers for the card. The VZAM window will still be stuck with "next" greyed out.

6) Once windows update finds the drivers, VZAM will now show next as an option. Click next and finish with the install.

GOOD LUCK!
