SUCKS! From the airport to downtown. 1xRTT coverage only. I'm in the north hall of the Moscone Convention Center with 1xRTT signal only. 100% strength without the external antenna.
I tried forcing EVDO only through the MCM diagnostics as recommended on the board but found no service whatsoever. Will try it from my hotel room this evening and post an update. _________________ Scott Wilson

Scott,
San Francisco isn't one of the official EVDO coverage areas yet, so I am not surprised.
Last month Verizon bought San Francisco MetroPCS, which has a lot of sprectrum in SFO, so I would expect they are in the process of firing up the towers now. It would be interesting to hear where the coverage is in SFO.
FYI, San Francisco is not one of the officiall EVDO coverage areas (yet.) _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

From a very reliable source the ev-do is going to ge launched in the last week in August for all of northern California, not just San Fran...This no rumor.
Its not you Scott, debugging your MCM wont help. _________________ someone who knows.. |
