|
|
Has anyone else experienced a problem with Verizon's website and their "My Current Usage" being inaccurate or inconsistent. I understand there is a delay between when you use the service and when in posts on the website. However, there are definitely some problems with getting the right infomation from the website. For example, I checked my usage yesterday and it showed I had used 666MB for this cycle and then checked it this morning and it shows 512MB.
I'm under the 5GB plan and started using a router to share my connection (so I'm not using Access Manager - although, I'm not sure I wouldn't get the same inconsistencies using that). Anyone notice this problem? I've contacted verizon via email...we'll see where that goes. In the meantime, anyone have a good method for determining accurate usage using a router. I don't feel like I can count on the Verizon website for giving me an accurate reading.
IMO...it should be mandated that when there is a usage restriction, there should be a grace period before overage charges kick in (say .25GB) - this gives the consumer the ability to actually get to use all the data they pay for. Especially since there seems to always be a delay between when the data is incurred and when it is reported as used by Verizon under "My Usage."
FYI...Sierra 595U w/ CradlePoint CTR-350 router. |

its been mentioned on this and other forums.
it may be in your best interest to take screenshots of these up and down reports and post them to flickr or some similar online gallery so you have some evidence you can present in case of future overage charges.
might be best for anyone else who may be subject to overage charges to do the same.
granted, a screenshot is easily manipulated, but some evidence is better than nothing. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas/Routers/Amps :: Verizon EVDO :: Sprint EVDO :: Why Buy from 3Gstore? |
