How long does Verizon impose the speed limit after 5GB is exceeded? (I have a grandfathered 'unlimited' plan from 2007)

This is the second time I've been throttled. The pattern is now very clear - if I exceed 5GB for two consecutive billing cycles, on the first day of the next billing cycle the speed limit (200 kbps up/dn) is imposed. The first time it happened, it was unclear whether it was throttling or some other issue, and I don't recall how long it took for the limit to be removed - about 2 weeks?

My throttling lasted one month, but it seemed to be capped at 640k?, maybe less? at those speeds it's hard to tell.

The throttled should reset at the beginning of your bill cycle force a PRL update and this should reset you in the system, if not you will need to wait till it automatically does this.

PRL Update in VZ Access Manager

Options>Activation

I can't wait to try that next time I am throttled, it makes sense that it would work, never thought about it because I never use vz manager since I have a router.

This prl trick worked again for me today. I was getting 0.8 Mbps download before prl update and 1.0 Mbps after. If I was a mod I would sticky it in red on the top of the board, it really worked.
