The only reason I have a road worthy laptop with the 727 modem is to
see weather radar and to use google earth.
I do not stay in hotels and I 'm usually sleeping in my car or a tent so I would try and NOT use the laptop for the genreal stuff I do at home.
Endelss surfing...........you know.

I really do not need to spend 67.00 a month for a few usages each month so I'm opting for the 50 mb service.
Has anyone used this service and how do sites like google earth affect
your data usage?
My other most important site is wunderground.com which has a google earth type real time radar map.

The estimates given by Verizon seem within my range for the 50MB plan but the above mentioned are X factors.
Thanks for your input...........Kenny S>

I downloaded bitmeter and rattled off 31.5mb in no time on Google Earth.
I'll have no choice but to go for the 5gb plan and use the heck out of it.

You'll be absolutely amazed at how quickly you can go though 50 megs online.

Google earth and radar are both image heavy, and will chew through your bandwidth allowance much faster than text/email.
