Switching from u720 to PAM w/o a new tos

I'm in a good position, I have 2 u720's and have had the accounts for 3 years or so, since the s620. I'm paying 39.99 per card and so far Sprint hasn't bugged me about always going over and I didn't recieve the letter many have. I tried to cancel one of the cards a year or longer ago but was offered the 39.99 per card deal so I decided it was worth it, my wife and I both use the cards and she travels.

Now I'm in the market for a smart phone I can use for emails, surfing etc and tethering only when my wife has the u720 travelling. Anyone had sucess keeping thier existing unlimited status switching to a PAM?

Tethering will get you nailed with overages on the cell plans. So far i've not heard of any success stories porting data card plans to phones.
