| I tried a UM175 initially but it crashed Windows. Contacted Alltel tech support and was told to return it and get a different card. Tech said there was a known problem with UM175 and some versions Windows. He also said that they had no idea as to if/when a solution would be available...so I got the EC168. I'm running Windows with SP2 and the latest BIOS. |

| I bought the CradlePoint MBR 1000, only to find that it won't work yet with my Alltel EC168. I contacted CradlePoint, and they are projecting a date of April 2009 for when their firmware will be updated to support the EC 168. |

Yes, CradlePoint issued new firmware for the MBR1000 in mid-March that includes support for the Alltel EC168. I only realized it a week or so ago, but I have already downloaded it, and it's working fine. |

| i am still looking for a wireless router for my ec168 card. I have contacted alltel because i have found linksys routers that are made for sprint and tmobile that have the usb port built in. They told me that as long as it has the usb port u can use it whatever service you have. Can anyone confirm this so i can not waste my money. |
