Hi, I just recently purchased a “KPC680 express card”. From my local provider” Direct Tv”. At my home I get about 55% signal strength. That’s why I recently purchased a 13dbi external antenna from "cellgear-usa". The problem is that as soon as I connect the antenna to the slots that it has on the card, my signal jumps to 100% but as soon as I dial it tells me that the “computer cannot connect to the remote server”. Then as soon as I disconnect the antenna it connects to the server with it’s original 55% strength. I called “Direct tv” and they told me that they don’t offer that “feature”. Even though the card has the slots for antennas they don’t support that “feature”. It’s that true? Can they really block such a feature from the phone? Or are they trying to brush me off because they didn’t sell me the external antenna. Im really confused in what my options are. Is there something wrong with my card, or my antenna? Is there a way or a setting that im not looking at that will let me connect to the remote server with the external antenna. Is there a way to “update” the firmware in my card to allow external pheripherals? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Believe it or not, I'm having the exact same issue with my KPC-680 Alltel card with the Omni antenna I bought from here sans the boost in signal strength. With the antenna attached, I can't connect at all.
