Well I installed openWRT thinking I could get it to work w/ my 597e... yeah it seems I forgot everything about linux I learned back in highschool. No problem Ill just flash back to the oem firmware right? unfortunetly evdo wizzards link to download a .trx version of linksys' firmware is no longer valid... Does anyone have a copy of that file that they could email to me? my email is turbo2k1civic@hotmail.com

I need to get my router back up asap, I realy cant do much of anything on this old laptop...

Do a factory reset and your router will be as it was out of the box.

I tryed that, its totaly un responsive to the reset button

The procedure is just to remove the little blue plastic cover from the reset button and using a small pen push and hold the button for 30 seconds corect?

I do not have the same router. On some hardware you press in and hold in while you turn in power.
