|

Hello,
I am new to blackberries so forgive me if this s a real dumb question.. I have a CTR500 which I used previously with my Pocket PC XV6800 without issue.. I got the storm and after I upgraded the the newest firmware, I just cant get it to work.. I plug it in and I get no light on the CTR500 indicating that the phone is plugged in.. Yet it works fine if I plug it in to the laptop and use it as a modem.. I do have the tethering plan.. Am I missing something on the storm that I need to turn on?
Thank you for any help. |

| Do you, perchance, have Passwords enabled? |

| As an experiment, disable your password on the Storm and see if it works then. |

Ok, I disabled the password (and contant encryption) and that seemed to work.. Issue is I need to have content encryption enabled.. Right now I have control over my BES server, but ina few months we are moving to a different which is not under my control.. Any ideas... I am surprised that enab;ling this would do it.
Thanks again |

For those of you that are having issues with the blackberry and having a password enabled. A fix has been supplied to Cradlepoint Technical Support as well as 3GStore Technical Support.
If you purchased the router from 3GStore you can either contact 3GStore or Cradlepoint Technical support to get the fix. If you did not purchase it from 3GStore then you will need to contact Cradlepoint Support.
As of Tuesday at 2:30 PM Mountain time both Support departments have the fix, but I recommend giving them an hour or so to distribute it to all representatives.
Cradlepoint Technical Support Contact information.

I'm wondering if this may be my issue, I cannot get my Verizon BB 8330 to work with the CTR 500. My BB is a company device with a password which I cannot turn off. I've sent cradlepoint support a request for this fix.
Unfortunately for me, I did not purchase my unit from the 3Gstore, wish I had based on the active support responses posted here.
Anyone have any idea how how they typically respond to support request. Thanks |

Hello mcruzado,
I don't work in the Support department, but I saw your post so I believe I found the e-mail that you sent to them. I pulled it out and sent you firmware listed in my previous post. If you don't get the e-mail with the firmware today please PM me with your e-mail address and I will send it too you. Hope my instructions were somewhat clear, but if you have any questions feel free to let me know and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
Regards. |

Does anyone have the fix or updated firmware to fix the issue with the Verizon Blackberry using a password? I have already upgrade to firmware 1.4.2 and emailed tech support. No responce yet. I cannot disable the password as it is a BES enforced policy.
Many thanks,
Matt |
