you sure you just got a KR1 in the mail?

thats an obsolete router that nobody should be selling anymore.

you should call whoever you got it and get them to support it or take it back.

if you can get them to take it back, get a current/superior model from the EVDO Experts who wrote this guide:

Which 3G Router Is Best For Me?

what cellular device are you trying to use it with? the KR1 doesn't work with anything currently available from sprint/verizon/alltel/att.

what are you trying to do, exactly?

I've got a novatel u720 but for it to work with the KR1 I need to update the firmware. I downloaded the file I need with the u720 connected to the laptop. Then I connected the router via an ethernet cable and I tried to connect to 192.168.0.1, but it says it cannot display the web page. I have pinged the router with no problems. I just don't get it. Am I doing something wrong?

doesn't sound like you are doing anything wrong. it could just be a bad router. try calling whoever sold it to you, or kyocera direct. good luck.

if you end up giving up on it, the cradlepoint ctr350 is a better (more stable) router than KR1 ever was, and is only $99 after rebate.
