What routers support both hsdpa and evdo ? I have hsdpa (i think) here in Brazil and evdo on sprint in the States. I'd like one router to handle both places.

I'm using a Kyocera KPC680 via Verizon's 3G network, grandfathered on my Alltel unlimited contract.

I live less than 1/2 mile line-of-site from my Verizon tower and get great reception on my KPC680.

I want to run two laptops from my home, one is Vista Ultimate, one is Windows XP.

Is either router better than the other for use with the Kyocera KPC680 and two laptops?

The price difference is negligible as far as I'm concerned. I've never used this type of wireless router but have used a modem/router with DSL in the past.

I am new to the forum but have used EVDO as my internet connection for years. I have near a dozen cradlepoint's deployed to my remote users using various ISP's. I recently (this weekend) switched from a Linksys wrt54g-st and a Merlin s620 to a brand new Cradlepoint mbr-1000 and the brand new franklin U600 USB modem. To be honest I am a little depressed as I thought the slowing of the sprint network was the age of my equipment. SPrint no longer support the s620 for updates. 4G is supposed to be coming and I wanted to be ready. In order to make the modem function at all I had to lock it into 3g mode only. Speedtest shows my internet gateway as being in Missouri, I am in Michigan. Ping times show 280ms with average upload of .4 mb/s and download of .2 mb/s. This is totally unaceptable. All of my users are on sprint or verizion. I haven't tried an of ATT cards in this area as they have not deployed 3G yet. My fastest users are running verizon. Looking for advice.

As for routers I have had near painless experience's with the cradlepont MBR's

The grand daddy of them all is MBR1200. I've been using it for a while and its a great router. I've finally got DSL and decided to list it on ebay.

We added a new user feedback tool on 3Gstore.com, you can click on any router and read feedback from actual users. All feedback is posted instantly (good and bad) and only those that bought the item can leave a review.

Hello everybody,

I was taking a course for the end of a term paper in my course on Computer Networks.

The theme of this work is, as a 3G upgrade to 4G.

We will use the same infrastructure of a 3G network, just update the software to deliver 4G network users.

I have some doubts, and I count on your support.

I need an example of any equipment that can be used for this technology, technical data, power and frequency that it works, and technical calculations.

How do the calculation of coverage area for the cell?
The distance that a mobile should be to work with a bandwidth of 20Mb / s? and how many users can utillizar the same cell with the same speed of 20MB / s?

I appreciate the support,

Graciously

I bought the MBR1000 router and a Verizon LG VL600 modem. After setting up the modem on my laptop and making sure it worked, I set up the router. I couldn't believe how easy and quick the router was to set up and it works perfect. (I think its pretty too.) I ran speedtest.net tests with the modem only and with the router and there was no difference in speed. The MBR1000 works as advertised. I live in a 4G area and travel in a motorhome six months a year. This router and modem are the perfect set up for me. I want to thanks the 3Gstore for their advice in helping me select the right products.

Out curiosity, can you list the advanced features that peplink has and cradlepoint doesn't?
