Still hunting for the seemingly sold-out-everywhere Blackberry Storm?
3GStore has the Storm IN STOCK now AND it is now supported by the Cradlepoint MBR1000 and CTR500!
If you place your order by 3pm PST Tuesday, December 22nd, you can receive it in time for the holidays (with overnight shipping)!! We have VERY limited supply, though, so call 866-3GStore to order yours ASAP!
See the full information about the Storm HERE
At this time, we are ONLY taking orders for NEW Verizon lines of service (remember, you CAN keep your phone number from another carrier in most cases - just ask!); if you are hoping to upgrade your existing Verizon phone to the Storm you can email us at phones @ 3gstore.com and we will notify you as soon as we have stock available for upgrade orders.
Happy holidays!!

I have a BB Storm and got a linksys wireless "N" gigabyte router but was thinking about returning the router and getting the MBR1000 to use with my Blackberry Storm for my internet connection.... I currently have 1 laptop and 1 desktop and a playstation 3 networked with my old wireless "g" router through my cable service but I really only use the internet for viewing webpages and not much else, a song download here or there but I do play a lot of PS3 online and was wondering how much of a difference I would see in game play by using my Storm as a modem, would it be feasible at all or just not worth it... and would it hurt my game play experience on ps3 or slow it down considerably? And with the MBR1000 I would be able to connect to the Storm and run 2 computers and a ps3 with no problems? How much of a quality connection am I giving up by removing comcast?
Thanks for any input

the MBR1000 will get the job done very nicely.
cablemodem service typically has ping times below 50ms and great EVDO is about 80-150ms... but many get 200+ ping because of cell tower load and un-optimized network routing on carrier side.
online game snappiness is always going to be better with cable/dsl, but many who can't get cable/dsl find EVDO is the best option. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas/Routers/Amps :: Verizon EVDO :: Sprint EVDO :: Why Buy from 3Gstore? |

Hello,
I couldn't find speed estimates on Verizon's REV A.... how much slower is REV A than traditional Broadband(comcast)? Or is it extremely noticeable doing routine web browsing? |

do a speedtest at http://speedtest.net and compare your results against this example of realllly good verizon evdo connectivity:
the speedtest shown above should be taken as a "best possible" example.
many will only see half what i have posted above.
thing is, most users who do just "web and email" would hardly notice a difference once you get above about 1200-1500kbps downloads. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas/Routers/Amps :: Verizon EVDO :: Sprint EVDO :: Why Buy from 3Gstore? |
