Cellular or PCS band ?

I'm quite a ways out in the country, so I bought a 11db Yagi antenna. I get 4 bars easily even though I'm a good 8 miles out and slightly below the horizon to the nearest tower. I bought the antenna on a hunch that Verizon uses the cellular band in this area because I also have a Sprint phone the surely uses PCS and picks up signal in the area differently than my Verizon 5220 card. Basically, I took a guess and just happened to guess right; otherwise I'd be buying another Yagi tuned to the PCS band. My question is how would one go about determining which band Verizon is actually using in a particular area? Is there some kind of diagnostic program that you can look at and see what your card has locked on to?

I am not aware of a diagnostic program, but there is a web site that will answer your question:
