Yup.... FIOS was installed on the phone lines around a month and a half ago, and now it's ready for me.

I'd like to thank everyone for the discussions and information included here because on January 5th, I will no longer be using EVDO.

I'll be ending my contract with Sprint, but I'm wondering can I exchange/give/OBO my unlimited account to someone so I don't have to pay the $200 early termination fee?

Alright, I might be trying to do this tomorrow, or atleast by January 5th '09 (that's when FIOS is being installed).

Has anyone who is reading ever done a exchange of accounts?

I'll go with the first dude and if he doesn't send me his phone number or respond to the pm when i do this i'll give the 2nd dude a call, rusher.

I'm basically giving this away (if this is possible), if anyone wants to kick me some moneys, you get bumped up in the line<3

If I can't do this I'm going to attempt to change my cell phone carrier to sprint and see if i can get the data pkg switched over to a phone service and jump into my 2yr contract from the evdo.

I'd apreciate any knowlege you wanna kick my way.

Called Sprint and they said that transfering accounts to other people is ok and that the "unlimited" status would remain with the account no matter who has it.

To do this they either want to 3way call or I have to give Sprint the other person's info and they will call that person 3 times within 72 hours.

So, PM your name and number and tell me how you want to handle this (3way or the Sprint calling you method)

Forgot to tell you guys, my girl has an account too, so.... we'll be doing that one soon too (I'll keep 2nd dude in mind for that one too)

Don't forget that the "unlimited" is not unlimited. They have the right to terminate the account if usage goes over 5GB in a month. Ofcorse no one has reported that yet.

I've been d/ling 20-50+ gigs a month since may... I would say they're pretty chill about the "cap"

Well good! Maybe Sprint is scared of losing more customers so they are "secretly" grandfathering people. But at the same time they are keeping quiet about it and putting the "right to terminate after 5GB" to scare people into not going over 5GB so they can "save money"

I'm not really brave enough yet to go over 5GB.

Their psychological tactics worked on me. I was using anywhere from 30-40 gigs per month before I got the call from them, now I'm down to about a gig a week. All I did was stop going to Hulu and watching TV. It'd be nice to be able to stream audio or download 10 hours of podcasts per day. With my satellite radio provider trading stock at 14 cents a share, I'm probably going to be in a desperate need for audio soon to keep my mind occupied while I'm driving this big rig all day.
