some concerned RV customers have pointed out to me that this info is NO LONGER on verizon site.
can't understand why they did that, and we will be asking our contacts to see if it will come back.
for now, customers will have to depend on VZAM software to retrieve usage details using the button in this graphic:
most of the RVers are folks who use their device in a Cradlepoint router we sold them, and its going to be a PITA to have to use VZAM to track usage.
All in favor of having Cradlepoint enhance their firmware to at least retrieve the same data that VZAM does - say AYE!
and then send an email to request same from suggestions@cradlepoint.com _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas/Routers/Amps :: Verizon EVDO :: Sprint EVDO :: Why Buy from 3Gstore? |

Alex,
I'm getting bouncebacks from the Cradlepoint post office:
"This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.
Delivery to the following recipients failed. Suggestions@cradlepoint.com"
I sent an e-mail to support@cradlepoint.com instead - that one was received. _________________ WVBill |

Verizon support got back to me, confirmed their site is not showing data card usage and suggested I check my usage on the 3rd of next month on my bill. They did tell me I've only used 800mb, but we have to be able to keep track to avoid overage charges.
I also use the Cradlepoint 350 so the VZ Access software is no help ( air card is not plugged into a PC ).
Maybe they won't be monitoring those who don't have excessive usage ( one can wish ) |

The air card usage in megabytes is available now, but not with a quick summary as before. I had to drill down into messaging, then select the air card number ( not my Verizon cell phone number) and finally a "data" tab. However you get a complete listing of megabytes used on various dates, not a nice clean summary as before.
So I had to copy all of that out of the browser and manipulate it into Excel to total the column. |

| This is my 1st post so hope it goes OK! Last week I too was unable to view my Verizon usage via the Verizon wireless website. I called Verizon Tech support several times to ask why this feature was removed and how difficult it now is to monitor monthly data usage (I don't use VZaccess). Well, apparently I got through to someone...the website (my account) now works for me as it used to! |

I had also complained about the same thing at the beginning of the week, and today it's fixed. I confirm that they listened to ME!! |

No way - it was definitely my blog post that made them rethink their decision to remove that tool! |

Let's not tell Cradlepoint it's back - I still want that neat graphic that VZAM has! _________________ WVBill |

I just got my Verizon EVDO using the Cradlepoint CTR-350 router. The router itself has a counter on the statistics page when I log into the admin tool. I also set up my Verizon Wireless account so I could pay the bill and review my usage online from Verizon.
The amount the CTR-350 is telling me I am using is significantly more than the amount of usage Verizon's website is reporting. They report the time and say "as of 3/29/09 you have used 100 MB" When the night before my CTR-350 statistics said I used over 120 MB since it last rebooted, and some 80 MB prior to that.
I'm worried that Verizon's website is not accurately reporting and when it comes time to pay the bill my usage will be different.
Is there any other way to track usage? Or can I hold Verizon to what their website says?
Has anyone had to argue with Verizon when it comes to a bill that reports different usage compare to what their website says? |

Hi,
I'm going to have to do exactly that. Verizon is trying to charge me overage charges for almost 560 MB that I know I didn't use. I've been keeping my own track, as best I could, and I've also been using the usage tool on Verizon's web site/ When my billing cycle ended, there tool said I'd used 4997.5 MB, but i'm getting charged as if I ran way way over that amount. And, of course, the allowance is 5120 MB.
Just how accurate is the Verizon reporting tool? I'd like other ways to track usage to, but they wil have to be free ways.Cradlepoint router.
Has anyone experienced this problem with Verizon before/
