| I am able to connect to live and play games using ISC on my laptop. Gaming is decent, with some minimal lag. My question is would a router like a Cradlepoint CTR350 help performance at all. Thanks in advance. |

most customers who have made the comparison do perceive a difference in gameplay.
some see a lot of difference, some see not as much but still justify the router because of simplicity it provides over ICS, and reduced wear and tear on the PC that was acting as host.
whether or not you will justify the router is a matter of trial and error, really.
get the CTR350 from the EVDO Experts and in your order notes put: "please include the 3gstore gaming tipsheet"
you'll have access to our tech support guys who have helped many get their game on, and you'll have the security of our 14 day return policy. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas/Routers/Amps :: Verizon EVDO :: Sprint EVDO :: Why Buy from 3Gstore? |

Tony,
I don't know what modem you are using or what version of Access Manager you have, but with a Um150 and VZaccess 6.7.9 in NDIS mode I have 70 to 90ms ping times with about 3.5mb to 5.2mb download speeds and 1.2mb to 1.6mb upload speeds. The only thing that I added to my modem was a Wilson Trucker antenna that's it. My signal is -62 to -65 as well. Now some that reads this post will say no way you can do that, but if they require proof then I will post some screen shots of it. I use ICS through Windows and a gigabyte network switch instead of a crossover cable. With my setup I can game all night with no hiccups or lag and watch full movies from netflix through xbox live with no waiting on it to buffer out. |
