| What address do you type in to get to the MBR1000 page? |

| I can't unless I get the "unable to connect to WAN" error page or "still negotiating an internet connection" error page and then I can click on the link at the bottom to connect to MBR settings. When I click on that, I get the page to enter my passcode (last 6 of my MAC address) |

| So most likely your PPPoE is on the modem. If you don't know your DSL modem's login and password, it's best not to mess with it. Next time you get the unable to connect to WAN error page and can access the MBR1000 config screen, try changing your MBR's IP address to 192.168.1.1. Then you should always be able to access the config screen at this new address. |

I am using a 720 and I don't ever remember getting this message prior to upgrading to:
Firmware Version : 1.4.0, 2008/11/24
Maybe I should try 1.4.2.
Will I lose my settings (DHCP, etc) like I did last time?

Yes, you should upgrade to 1.4.2 if you are seeing this with the 720. You shouldn't lose your settings going to 1.4.2 but you should make a backup of your configuration in case you do (via tools->system). |
