|
|
Hi all,
The new Firmware Version v1.4.0 dated 2008/11/24 is working stably for me. I was one of the users with disconnect/rebooting problems with v1.3 & v1.3.1. All the new functionality that I have tried works as promised.
The only unusual thing I have noticed is that the signal strength (RSSI) displayed by the router consistently differs from the RSSI displayed by VZAccess. When VZAccess reports about -61 dBm, the router's Modem Info/Modem Diagnostics page reading signal strength reports about -72 dBm.
I know these readings vary with time but they do have a value which occurs the most times (the mode), that's the number I am reporting in both cases. This mode value will occur for steady stretches with occasional short down swings and rare short upswings.
I use a Verizon USB727, let us know if others see this RSSI difference. It's certainly not a major issue, probably based on differing calculation methods.
Thanks to Cradlepoint for their patient and careful review in the development of this stable firmware for the MBR1000.
best, sbi108 |

Firmware Version v1.4.0 is working well so far on my MBR1000. I had many lets call them issues with ver. 1.31. I am using a Verizon V740 with my MBR1000.
Any of the beta testers have any tweaks or are you aware of any issues with this ver firmware? |

Dittos. Very nice, especially the load balancing.
I am testing on two different MRB-1000's. and its working well.
Hats off to CradlePoint on this release.

We don't have that model of IP phone here, but we do use the Cisco 7940/7960's. I plugged my 7940 into 1.4 and it worked fine. If you would like please feel free to PM me with your phone number or e-mail address and I would be happy to contact you directly to discuss the issue. |

| Since upgrading to 1.4 I am experiencing disconnect problems for the first time. This does not occur when I am actively online but when the computers are shut down. I have not tried to trouble shoot this as yet (and let's be serious, I am not a router guru). I am not on my computers at home every day. When they are shut down for a period and I boot up there is no connection and I have to reboot the router. Was this meant to be in 1.4 or is there something magic in the config I should to. And I did save my config files and reload them after the upgrade. Using 727 usb modem. |

| When you refer to disconnect problems, do you mean the 727 or Wirless? I guess I am looking to get some more detail on the problem. If you can explain the process that causes the disconnects in a bit more detail it would be appreciated. |

| Best as I can ascertain at this point.....the computer off for a day or so. Log on and have no internet connection and the router shows no connection to the computer. I reboot the router and all is well again. I wonder if this occurs because computer, not being on, does not 'renew it's lease'. |

| Shortly after I posted the above post I shut down the computer. This was a little over 23 1/2 hours into the session. This morning I logged on and had no internet and no lan connection to the router. The log said PPP shut down @ 1710 followed by the shut down of other processes. The last was WAN device on USB 1 unplugged. Unfortunately I did not save the log and when I rebooted the router that history was lost. Is this of any help? |

I believe I am experiencing a similar issue with 1.4 and my MBR1000. I turn on the laptop and in the morning and I have local and no "Local and Internet". The "MDM" led on the MBR1000 is out. Rebooting the laptop does not help. I have found that removing and inserting the express card back into the router gets me the "Local and Internet". Below is the nights log from last nights occurrence........
NOTE.. during the night I did not physically pull out the express card.
signal strength is very good at my location. always 4 bars.

| I have confirmed that if I change something in programming and select "Reboot Router" then when it reconnects you get the same WAN IP address as the previous session. I've reproduced this 3 times, even after a loading factory defaults. |
