A few comments about 1.4 firmware. I am out of the office all week and my sole connection is an CTR500 with 1.4 firmware and it has been working flawlessly. I was beta testing 1.4 before it was officially released and it has also been working great.
One cool thing....
This version allows you to add your own custom messages/logos to the login screen.
One thing I had a problem with. I was using a Verizon V740 and Sprint Compass to do load balancing and making my speeds great while I multitasked - BUT there was one problem. When I used LogMein.com to control one of my computers back at the warehouse - I would get an "IP Mismatch" error - probably because the load balancing was switching IPs and Logmein.com got confused. it would be cool if you can "switch off' load balancing by URL or port to get around this. I disabled load balancing and was able to get in. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

I decided to be the guinea pig on this one.
No problems (so far) on a CTR-500 with a USB720.
This was just an FYI, as I usually want to see reports of successful installs before I update...
The only other thing I needed (but forgot) was that the default password is the last six characters of the MAC address. Save your settings before updating, too. I had to reapply mine after the update. |

| I'm having really bad luck with 1.4 on a CTR-500 and an Alltel UM150. It's causing the wireless radio on the router to restart every couple minutes. I have a desktop connected on the LAN port which is unaffected. I'm going back to 1.3 and hopefully that will fix it. I'll try to post my results after a couple hours or so. |

| Well, that didn't take long. I'm already getting "wireless restarts" in the router's log. The radio in it must have gone bad at the same time I decided to try firmware version 1.4. |

reggie14,
After the Firmware has been uploaded try doing a factory reset using the Reset button. Hold in the reset button then plug in power, wait for the LED's to flash twice then let go of the reset button. |

Good Call Rich, also if you don't want to look at the LED's when your holding the reset button down, count to 15 and then let go of the reset button. |
