|

I just got my new CTR350 to go with my Alltel UM150. It was not a very happy start.
I fired up the 350, and configured it. I then connected the UM150, and as soon as the WAN connection was made, the 350 dropped the WiFi connection. My laptop was unable to connect to the 350 WiFi, until I power-cycled it. Once the 350 was back, I can connect to it again, but as soon as the WAN connect, the WiFi goes away.
Tested with 2 laptops with the same result. The 350 stops working with the WiFi when connected to the WAN, and will not work with the WiFi until a power-cycle.
Any ideas? (I'm going to try again at work tomorrow where I have a better signal. My RSSI was -98 when trying this) |

| I am seeing the exact same problem. The LAN goes down aswell I'm seeing. Something fishy is going on. I'm not sure if the Altell towers on the eastern are blocking cradlepoint MACs... or if something else is going on. I'm getting VERY frustrated though |

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with the problem. Since my 350 was just received today from 3G Store, I thought that I had a defect. Looks like my new 350 may be OK, and that something strange is going on with Alltel... |

| I should mention that I'm home right now (where cell is unavailable), and cradlepoint.com is down when trying to access via HughesNet. Could the 350 be trying to "phone home" for an update, and hanging because Cradlepoint is down? If so, very strange design... |

Thanks to the help here, I'm no longer disappointed with my CTR350. I used it all day at work, and had no problems. I'm at the house I'll be moving to soon, using the UM150 with the CTR350 with 2 of us surfing the net, no problems at all. Now I get to move on to the fun of finding the best Rev-A signal |
