I was wondering if anyone can help. Confused
I'm using a Serria 5220 Air card through Verizon on my laptop. I have a Dell Axim X5 that I use also. Would the PCMIA Air card work in the PDA? I know I would have to use a adapter...but would it be compatible...software and hardware.

What I was looking for is to be able to use my Axim while in the field and then post my data to our online database.

I've tried to use a CF card WIFI card in the unit, but it did not work. I think it was a faulty CF card.

I did not want to buy a new device..OQO2..or smart phone.

Anyone have any Ideas? PLEASE HELP!!!

nope, there is nothing in that pda that will recognize/control any EVDO device.

btw, your 5220 is ancient and can't take advantage of faster network speeds that are available today.

your best bet is to upgrade to usb727 (through 3gstore, preferably) and get something like the PHS300 EVDO router, which will control EVDO connection and make it available via wifi so device like your Axim can surf via EVDO (through router)
