Last time I was browsing around the 3gstore I was planning on getting a Sierra 595U coupled with a Router and Omni-Antenna. Things seem to have changed....
I have a couple questions before buying that would best be answered by those experienced users here:
1) Would the Sierra 595U (or whatever has surpassed it, now) work perfectly with Windows Vista SP1? If not, what WOULD work with Windows Vista?
2) Could I use the Sierra 595U WITHOUT a router? Just plug in the USB into my own computer?
3) Does 3gstore.com still do the $26 30-day garantee? (just in case I can't get a signal or get it to work at all) |

Ah, that link isn't working at the moment.
Thank you so much.
By the way, upon looking at the picture of the U727, it looked a bit different than the Sierra U595. The point of getting a Sierra U595 would be to get as much range as possible. (I'm a bit out of range of the signal, though I'm going to try anyway) |

Thanks Alex.
This link is currently down:
https://3gstore.com/sprint/cards.php
I will try ordering online and getting the 30-day money back garentee at the same time. Hope it works. |

Alright, I've ordered. Will come back with the full story on if it works, my speed and latency, etc, etc...
Thanks again Alex. |

| About the link, it must have been my internet connection. Something about AOL and Vista doesn't mix right. |

I agree with Alex on this about the 595U. I bought it back in Feb 08 thinking the battery would help since I'm in a dead zone by there maps. It becomes irrelevant after you add antenna's to your setup since it won't even use that.
I leave my connection active quite a bit and I notice after a few days of heavy use I'll get what I call the red light syndrome. My usb's are fully powered yet it doesn't seem to charge. After disconnecting it goes green but as soon as I reconnect back to red.
Now when I get the red light problem I unplug the USB for about 10 seconds and that cures it until I use it heavy for a few days straight.
I would never recommend the 595U for this issue. It works great but doesn't charge correctly sometimes. I'm also using it on the cradle. |
