I've had this card for nearly a 2 years working with the Linksys WRT54G3G wireless router that I bought off this site.
Service until a few weeks ago was really mediocre--300-400kbps down 60kbps up with signal in the -95-100 range. I was just to the point of getting ready to dump Verizon for Sprint because Sprint's signal was higher at my house.
Suddenly, probably a new tower, my signal is around -70 and my downloads are typically 600-800kbps with highs over 1mb.
After making sure that it looks like it is something that will not be going away, it would seem time to get a new (REV A) modem.
Would appreciate recommendations on which modem seem to work the best the the Linksys modem and provide the highest network speeds.
thanks

when you bought that linksys router, it was probably the only choice for whatever reason.
that linksys does not officially support any verizon cards, so if you end up needing manufacturer assistance, you won't get it.
if you must keep the router, get the verizon pc5750 rev-a card if you still can.
a better choice would be to get the verizon usb727, and any of the crdlepoint routers: http://www.EVDOinfo.com/cradlepoint
in the long run, you'll be much better off with a usb modem and a router that officially supports usb modems and expresscards. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas/Routers/Amps :: Verizon EVDO :: Sprint EVDO :: Why Buy from 3Gstore? |

I agree with Alex the USB727 and Cradlepoint routers would be the idea solution for Verizon
For Sprint I would recommend the Sprint Compass and Cradlepoint Routes. |
