USB 727 not connecting with Macbook

I have an intel macbook running Leopard 10.5.5 and a Verizon USB 727. I've installed the latest verizon updates to VZ access but I can't seem to connect. The crazy thing, it works fine on a windows PC. I think it may be a setting on my mac, but I'm clueless as to what. Thanks for your help.

I figured it out. I was logged in as a limited user, so I tried logging in as administrator. I ran VZ Access which updated the device and connected with no problem. When I went back to my limited user account, it connected with no problems. I can connect with both VZ Access and with system preferences. Happy Camper.
