Bluetooth handset replacing PC Card

I've heard that Sprint and VZ have turned off their bluetooth functionality.

Does anyone think that the bluetooth handset will eventually replace the card as the modem that's needed to drive EV-DO over the laptop?

I would love to have a EVDO phone with BlueTooth that I can use as a modem to my PC, that would be very cool!

One problem, is the maximum speed of BlueTooth. I think it is 721 kbps maximum. We all know how maximums go, it probably is a lot less - so the BlueTooth speed may slow down EVDO.
