Does anyone know how to do this with the Dell Mobile Broadband Card Utility? This is used for embedded evdo cards on Dell notebooks.
Thanks |

You need to be on a Windows enabled PC to lock the card. After its locked you'll be able to use it in HDR mode only on your Mac. |
That statement is partly true, if you are running Windows under VMWare or Bootcamp, you can change the settings on the card. |

When I do the Ctrl-D it doesn't give me an option to set it to EVDO only. I'm using the Pantech 175 with Vz Wireless Access Manager (most recent).
I also tried it with Alltel's Quicklink Mobile with no luck as well.
Win Vista 64bit operating system. |

Thanks for the tip...mine kept switching back and forth between NationalAccess and NationalAccess (RevA)...not anymore, its all NationalAccess (RevA) |

| btt! Thanks, again -- you have saved the day. My connection with the omni antenna that I just purchased kept flip-flopping to the 1xRTT connection -- Now that I locked in HDR mode it stays on the evdo connection. You guys really do have the best customer support. Thanks! |

my verizon usb 727 doesn't give me that option. says create qnc and has a box beside it I can checkmark. then it adds another connection on the manager that says "quick 2 net 14.4 kb/s" _________________ Keven |

| Same here. On the Verizon Access Manager, there is no option that I can see after executing the above steps. |

Can anyone confirm that the LG Dare or LG Versa can perfom this lock-on via following the instructions given in this thread?
I'm a verizon user looking for the best Rev-A regular phone for tethering that can perform this lock-on, and it seems that these two are good options, I'm open to other suggestions as well. |
