Hi Luka,

The monthly cost is the same regardless of the contract terms: $59.99/mo for 5GB allowance. You'll also have to pay an activation fee of $35 (and if you ever cancel your service and then want to start it again, you'll have to pay that again).

Hope that helps!

Yes, cost is the same. I did as several others who posted previously and bought the Novatel 727 modem on ebay. I took it to the local Verizon store, and since I already had a Verizon wireless account for my phone, I only paid the $35 activation fee to have the device activated. Now I receive one bill for both services. I have had this service since January after suffering with satellite for nearly 3 years, and I am well pleased with it. No antenna required here. I use a Cradlepoint CTR350 router and have wireless service to my laptop in another part of the house, and have the desktop computer connected via ethernet.

Hi Maureen,

If I am understanding this right, the only way for this to be an advantage for anyone, is to do as others in this thread have done. Buy the equipment cheap, off of EBAY or similar.

If a person wants to buy from 3gstore, both to support youse guys, and to have the advantage of your customer service... The end cost, (paid up front), is almost exactly the same as the ETF fee you would pay if you terminated the contract, a month or two, into it...

In fact, it can be a disadvantage to do the month to month.

IF... One goes with the month to month, likes the service, and stays with it for two years... Then one has stayed with the service for two years, would not have had to pay the ETF... and yet paid the same as the ETF, up front.

Am I making sense here ?

If so, I think this is a bad deal for 3gstore. And a bad deal for anyone who wants buy from youse guys, instead of from some unknown on EBAY or Craigslist.

Does the month to month account cost the same per month as the 2 year contract ?

Other than paying full retail for the modem, are there any other differences in the startup cost ?

Month to month is the same. No other differences in start-up costs. There is an activation fee but that is the same. Overall, I don't see why anyone would take the card from Verizon when you can get your own for less on ebay.
