As much as I hate to say it either install ietab for firefox, or launch ie to access the router. I may be wrong in your case, but that is the work around I have found for a problem that I have that sounds just like what you describe.
Its happens on every computer I use with firefox, except for my new vista install that is less than a week old. Time will tell if it suffers the same fate. If you do not use firefox disregard me. I just thought I would try to help. |

Before coming across this thread, I decided to upgrade to the latest .04 release firmware today. I began seeing essentially the same problem as Bill Bickley, unable to navigate from the router status screen. I finally ended up disconnecting all WAN inputs, was able to re-up the firmware and downgraded to .03 release. All working normally now. Was using cable modem as primary input, with EVDO failover. After flashing up to .04, it still saw the cable connection, but because the username / password was gone in the EVDO setup, no longer could connect to EVDO, and as I mentioned, I lost pretty much all ability to manage the KR2.

| We identified the problem that caused that issue and have a fix for it. The fix will be available in the next release of KR2 firmware. |

Hi Mackieman,
Just curious if you have found anything further regarding the KR2 and the 12 hour Alltel internet disconnect.
Thanks, |

| There was some stuff done with the UM150 and World of Warcraft but I don't recall anything about a 12 hour disconnect with Alltel. Chances are that is Alltel's network but I don't know for sure. |

| You guys will definitely have support for the Alltel UM175 USB air card in the next firmware release won't you Mackieman? Any ETA on this firmware? I just bought the Cradlepoint MBR1000 but they haven't released a new firmware to add support for the Alltel UM175 yet so I'm kinda just hanging here waiting on a router that supports this newer card. |

I have noticed that with my Verizon AC595 aircard that the speeds are throttled back using the KR2 router. When I use the aircard in the computer by itself, speeds are anywhere from 1500 to 2200 kbps down / 300 to 500 up generally most of the day and night. When the aircard is in the router, speeds are lower 900 to 1400 kbps down / 150 to 300 up. This is switching it back and forth from router to the computer using Windows XP.
After exchanging email with the 3G store, they suggested that most people are experiencing improved speeds from the KR2 router and that I should ugrade firmware to ZE1004. I upgraded and here's what happens. With the aircard in the router, it reboots itself continuously and will not let let you access the settings. With the aircard removed. You can access the settings, and save them. The router then resets itself continuously as long as the aircard is inserted.
This prompted me to downgrade to ZE1003 again and everything appears normal, except the speeds are throttled back as described.
Is anyone experiencing this speed reduction in their router as well and may have found a fix or this ? |

So what's the ETA for the new release? |

Due to a recent personal change, I'm no longer the inside guy on KR2. We'll both see at the same time when it comes out. |

Ok, I'll try to keep this short. Bought a KR2 a few months back, supposed to be shipped with .04. It was at the time the problems were identified with .04, and the unit actually shipped with .03. Ok, no prob.
Knowing this and ready to order another KR2, I just called Sales to ask if it would ship with .03 or .04, knowing the fix will only be available in the next release, which doesn't appear to be ready yet. Sales said if I order the plain router, it ships with .03. If I get the pre-loaded version, it ships with .04. But doesn't .04 still have an issue? And if .03 was the default, and I got a CD with .04 (which I did), should I have paid the extra for the KR2 I bought previously which was advertised to ship with .04? When I got it I just kinda assumed that they installed .03 and tested it, but I'm not so sure now.
Anybody care to shed some light here ? |

Mackieman,
I've experienced the same issue using the Ethernet WAN port. I'm using a Comcast Cable modem, I upgraded my KR2 from v1.0.0.0 to v1.0.0.4 and the issue appeared, I thought the firmware upgrade went south.
Let me know if there is anything that I can do to assist in resolving this issue. |

I have no idea what's going on with ZE1005, but if there is no functionality you specifically needed in ZE1004, you can downgrade to ZE1003 and the problem will hopefully go away. |
