I currently have a brand new Dell Latitude E6400 with a built-in Verizon card that has GPS capability. I was wondering if anyone know if I can use either Microsoft Street and Trip or Google Earth with the GPS function of that card?

Thanks,

Khanh

I know for a fact you can use Microsoft Streets and Trips 2009. I downloaded the program and could get the GPS to work with it. The only problem is that the GPS modules on these machines are not working properly at the moment. I get my computer to find my GPS speradically, but once it finds it it does not lose the signal. But yes, MS&T works

Thank you for your reply, because even the Dell people doesn't know
anything about it. So can you please give me details instructions to how
to get it to work? Is the GPS unit on Com6? Also do you know exactly
what is wrong with the Verizon Card?

Thanks,
Khanh

I don't know exactly what is wrong with the Verizon Card. I thought I had a fix but after restarting my computer, the GPS is nowhere to be found... again! But when it did work, I got the MS&T to access the GPS card by clicking on the GPS Task Pane (the compass), and then hitting Start/stop GPS Tracking. Yes, my GPS unit is on Com6. That is about all I know, hopefully someone will find a fix to my problem - the fix out there doesn't work for me!!
