Cradlepoint really has been diligently working to find a solution to the World of Warcraft (WoW) issues experienced by some UM150 users, as discussed in this EVDOforums thread: http://www.evdoforums.com/thread9873.html

It has taken longer to produce a "hotfix" for this issue because Cradlepoint has had a hard time reproducing the problem with any consistency so as to identify the cause.

Turns out that they needed to send staffers out and about in order to find an area that would cause the issue... leading us to believe the problem may be triggered by signal issues.

The technical explanation is a whole lot of engineer speak that I am translating thusly:
Quote:
"improvements were needed to handle connection acknowledgments under certain conditions specific to the UM150"

Since we continue to work very closely with Cradlepoint engineers on this issue, 3Gstore has been given permission to release the "hotfix" firmware to EVDOforums members, in hopes that those who were seeing the WoWo/UM150 issues will test and report back on success/failure.

Here are links to the files for both the CTR500 (CRK) and the MBR1000:

Please understand that ONLY those who are experiencing WoW issues really need to download and test this hotfix, and that it is NOT an official firmware release. Results of this hotfix discussion will determine if it gets rolled into the next firmware release for both routers.

Those of you that download the hotfix and need help, can call Cradlepoint Tech Support to discuss whatever issues you are having. It would still be to everyone's benefit that you detail the issues you are experiencing by posting to this forum thread.

Game on!
